Botox

Botox is a prescription-only medication and should only be administered by a qualified practitioner, such as a doctor or dentist. Whilst nurses are legally allowed to administer Botox, they must be either a nurse prescriber, or work alongside a prescriber. Likewise, if you are conducting a consultation as a non-prescribing nurse, you should always be accompanied by a prescriber.

Some clinics offer same day treatment for injectables like botox and dermal filler. While this is allowed, it is not recommended. At PHI, we always require a minimum of 24 hours between consultation and treatment, to ensure patients have sufficient time to think about the information given about the procedure. Following the treatment, we recommend a follow up consultation with your patient after 2-4 weeks to discuss results.

Regulating Botox

As well as pushing for regulation in the industry, Dr Tapan has curated his training resources at PHI College, to provide reputable clinicians with a higher level of education. This ensures the patient outcomes that aesthetic professionals offer remain positive, safe, and effective. He founded PHI College, a training facility situated in his highly successful Harley Street practice, to deliver masterclasses in aesthetic products and devices to delegates who wish to learn how to refine their abilities.

Every course is tailored to the delegates to create a bespoke learning experience that is completely unique to those in attendance. Trainers at PHI College include members of Dr Tapan’s handpicked clinical team, who each have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in injecting. We maintain a high trainer to delegate ratio in order to guarantee one-to-one time for every delegate during the live model injecting session of each course.
