Clinic management is undeniably an essential cornerstone of aesthetic practice; it is vital to the success of any practice that this is seamless, working like a well oiled machine.
The most central tenet of clinic management is patient experience, ensuring that every individual who enters your practice is treated in a professional manner, and experiences safe and effective results from the treatments you and your clinicians provide.
One vital aspect of clinic management is how you deal with patients. When starting out, it may seem easier and more cost-effective to manage patients yourself, but there are plenty of CRM (customer relationship management) software options that can help you manage factors like patient bookings, medical and consent forms, treatment plans, before and after photos, payments, and more. Some offer free trials, or are completely free, while others have an associated monthly, quarterly, or yearly payment. You may find it useful to make a list of the features you need from your CRM and compare this with the options you have available.
Another factor to consider is staff training; if you have a member or members of staff who work for you, it’s important to ensure that they are aware of your visions and values. This encompasses how call handlers answer the phone and deal with potential patients, how patients are welcomed into your clinic or location, treatments performed by practitioners other than yourself, and more. To make this process uniform, you can create a map of the ideal consumer journey that you want to offer patients and share it with your staff during internal training sessions.
PHI College is based on the first floor of Dr Tapan’s highly successful Harley Street practice, PHI Clinic. Since its inception in 2014, PHI Clinic has won ‘Best New Clinic’ in 2014, and ‘Best Clinic in London’ for 3 years running (2014/15/16) at the Aesthetic Awards.
PHI College training days begin with theoretical sessions and live demonstrations in the morning before moving on to practical injecting sessions in the afternoon. At the end of the masterclass, there is a networking opportunity and a Q&A session, where delegates can pose their questions about everything aesthetics, including any practice or clinic management queries.
